RoofQualify, operated by Double Vision USA LLC (“we”, “us”), helps homeowners find out whether their roof may be suitable for solar. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and your choices. We may update it as the service evolves.
1. Information we collect
The free roof check does not store your property address. If you qualify and optionally request an installer quote, we collect your name, phone number, email address, and checked property address. Collected automatically: basic usage data (pages viewed, approximate region, device type) via privacy-respecting analytics. We do not ask for Social Security numbers, financial account numbers, or similar sensitive identifiers.
2. How we use your information
To estimate whether your roof may be suitable for solar; to show you your result and, with your consent, connect you with one local solar installer who can prepare a quote; and to improve the accuracy and usefulness of the service.
3. Installer quote requests (optional)
The free roof check itself stores nothing about you. If you qualify and choose to request a quote, we collect the details you enter — name, phone, email, and the property address you checked — together with a record of your consent (date, time, and IP address). We encrypt these details and share them with one local solar installer so they can contact you about a quote. We do not sell your details to anyone else, we do not use them for any other marketing, and we do not share them with data brokers. To opt out or have your details deleted, email [email protected] at any time.
4. When we share information
If you ask to be connected with a solar installer, we share your contact details and property information with one local installer so they can contact you about a quote. Because that installer may pay us for the referral, this sharing may qualify as a “sale” or “sharing” of personal information under California law. You can opt out by contacting us. We also share data with service providers under confidentiality obligations, and when required by law or to protect our rights and users' safety.
5. Communications and consent
If you check the consent box and submit your details, you agree that we and the local solar installer we connect you with may contact you about solar — including by phone, text/SMS, and email — at the number and address you provide, which may involve automated technology. Consent is not a condition of any purchase. Message and data rates may apply. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to texts, unsubscribing from emails, or contacting us.
6. Your choices and rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, and withdraw consent to be contacted, by emailing us. California residents (CCPA/CPRA): you have the right to know, delete, correct, and limit the use of your personal information, to opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of your personal information, and not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights. As explained in “When we share information” above, connecting you with an installer may qualify as a “sale” or “sharing.” You can exercise these rights by contacting us.
7. Data retention
We keep your information only as long as needed to provide the service and for legitimate business or legal purposes, then delete or de-identify it.
8. Children
The service is intended for adult homeowners and is not directed to anyone under 18.
9. Changes
We will update the “Last updated” date above when this policy changes.
